Rosa D. Saldivar, 85, of Big Spring died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be held Sunday at 7:00 PM at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Monsignor Bernard L. Gully, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born March 12, 1926 in Melvin, Texas to Bernave and Josefita Saldivar. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked as a housekeeper at Scenic Mountain Medical Center and Golden Plains Nursing Home. She also worked various jobs through the years.
She is survived by two sisters: Manuela Moron of Big Spring and Guadalupe Ortegon of Eden and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Carmen and Salvador Saldivar and two sister Refugia and Maria Saldivar.
