Roy Lee Williams Sr., 62, of Big Spring died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Ivins officiating.

Roy Lee was born Feb. 13, 1951, in Lamesa, Texas, to Lena Gail (Osburn) and Hazel Lee Williams. He grew up in Knott and Odessa. Roy Lee also lived in Detroit, Mich., Yuba City, Calif. and Hobbs, N.M., before returning to Big Spring. He was a truck driver until a near fatal accident and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Roy Lee is survived by his wife, Katie Lara of Big Spring; three sons, Roy Lee Williams Jr., Robert Marcel Williams and Candy Long, all of East Texas, and Steven Bradley Williams and wife Heather of Odessa; four daughters, Barcie Leann Sparks and husband Glenn of Graysville, Tenn., Teresa Michelle Anderson and husband Waylon of Odessa, Diana Jean Williams Brown and husband Christopher of Bridge City and Brandy Ewing of Odessa; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Sue Lucus of Big Spring and Barbara Anne Wright and husband Jimmy of Wiley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
