Royal Daniel Padden Sr., 55, of Big Spring died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Midland Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Masonic Rites will be by Staked Plains Lodge 598, A.F. & A.M.

He was born Sept. 1, 1958, to Kay and Ray Padden in Elk Rapids, Mich. He was a resident of the community for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodges in Big Spring and Alpine. He was a transport truck driver and worked for R.J. Machine.

He is survived by four sons, Christopher Padden of Brighton, Mich., Drew Long of Big Spring, John Padden and Royal Daniel Padden Jr., both of San Angelo; one brother, Timothy Roeske of Ypislanti, Mich.; Michelle Futrelle, the mother of his children; mother in law, Petra Tovar of San Angelo; father in law, Gregory Clemons of Big Spring; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
