Ruby Langford Fowler

Ruby Langford Fowler, 85, passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2013. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Herb McPherson officiating.

Ruby was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Sterling City, Texas to Jesse J. Langford and Samantha Davis Langford, both deceased. Brother Marvin Langford also predeceases her. Ruby is survived by a daughter, Linda Fowler Davis; sons, Woodie Fowler and wife Bonnie, and James Kenneth (Ken) Fowler and wife Cherish; sister, Lee Fulton, and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Natalie Davis Mueller and husband Bryan; Lesley Davis Harrison and husband Chad; Kirk Fowler, Katelyn Fowler and Jordann Fowler; great-grandchildren, Korey Fowler, Nicholas Mueller, Bennett Mueller and William Harrison; niece Cynthia Nielson; and nephew Randall Fulton.

Ruby was employed for many years at Bob Brock Ford as bookkeeper/office manager. She was organist at Crestview Baptist Church and in later years, pianist at Calvary Baptist Church.

The family extends a special thank you to the staffs of Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center, Susan; Crossroads Hospice, Barnaby; Scenic Mountain Medical Center; and Calvary Baptist Church, Reverend Herb McPherson and all church members. The family requests any memorial tributes for Ruby to be made to Crossroads Hospice, 421 S. Main St., Big Spring, TX 79720.
