Ruby Phillips, 87, of Garland, formerly of Big Spring died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Baylor Medical Center at Garland. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Westbrook Cemetery with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.

She was born July 12, 1924, in Mitchell County, Texas. She was a homemaker and had worked at Texas Instruments in Dallas. She had lived in Garland since 1965. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley Phillips and wife Verlinda of Big Spring and Ronald Phillips and wife Jennifer of Garland; two sisters, Ozelle Miller of Big Spring and her twin sister, Ruth Pike of Sache, Texas; five granddaughters; two grandsons; five great-grandsons and eight great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; one son, Dewey Wayne Phillips on Dec. 28, 2001; and a granddaughter.
