Ruth Robinson

Ruth Robinson, 93, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at the Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Binnix, officiating.
The family will receive friends following the services.
She was born March 9, 1918, in Hereford, Texas, and married Woodrow Robinson in 1942, in Howard County. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Ruth came to Howard County in 1926, and was a bookkeeper. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and a member of the Historical Commission of Howard County and the Prospectors Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Mills of Big Spring and Betty Develle of Mesquite; one son, Robert Robinson of Stanton; one sister, Francis Zant of Waco; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters-in-law, Lorene Robinson of North Carolina and Merle Higginbotham of Monahans.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Robinson and one sister, Vera Mae Rawlings.
The family suggests memorials be made to Midway Baptist Church or a favorite charity.
