Sammie Estelle Meeks, 72, of Big Spring died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Ken McMeans officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Tamara Gray and husband Tim of Artesia, N.M., and Tracy Watson and husband Mike of Big Spring, Texas; one son, Tony Meeks of Big Spring; one sister, Carylon Miller of Abilene; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Buddy" Meeks; her parents, Robert Herbert Andy and Ethlene (Hogg) Cox; and two sisters, Cathlele Williams and Johnie Gary.
