September 27, 2013

The investigation into the Saturday shooting death of a 50-year-old man in Sand Springs is nearing completion, law enforcement officials say.

According to reports, at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Howard County sheriff's deputies were advised of an assault at 8705 Gillem Road in Sand Springs. When they arrived on the scene, investigators found that the 50-year-old Bobby Reed had died of a gunshot wound.

County Sheriff Stan Parker said in a Thursday news release that, “at this point, it has been determined that there had been a domestic/family altercation that led up to the shooting.”

Parker added investigators are still gathering facts and statements relevant to the shooting and “should have the investigation completed soon.”
