Sandi Jean Allen, 49, of Glasscock County died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Glasscock County. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Billy Guy of Full Gospel Fellowship officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born June 1, 1963, at Levelland, Texas. She married Rex Allen, Aug. 12, 1983, in Big Spring. Sandi was a lifelong resident of Glasscock and Howard counties.
She was a homemaker, but had also worked at Comanche Trail Nursing Home and the Forsan Cafeteria. She had been a volunteer for victim services and an elections volunteer in Glasscock County. She was very involved in her children's and grandchildren's school activities. She was always active in her church and was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband Rex Allen of Glasscock County; five children, Donny Allen (and Jackie) of Midland, Lyndsey Allen (and Eric Tuttle), Kelsey Allen, Cameron Allen and Emily Allen, all of Glasscock County; three grandchildren, Willie Allen, Jackson Allen, Huiyter Allen and a fourth, Kennedy, due anytime; mother, Dorothy Creswell of Big Spring; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Carey of Big Spring; three brothers, Ricky Creswell and wife Lynn and Robby Creswell and wife Shannon, all of Big Spring, and Clay Creswell of Midland; and one sister, Shanna Faye Creswell of Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Dean Creswell; and one daughter, Tonya Allen.
