Santiago Rodriguez, 82, of Snyder, formerly of Gail died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Snyder Oaks Care Center. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gail Cemetery.
He was born May 1, 1930, to Rebecca and Manuel Rodriguez in Mexico. He married Rita Acosta in Mexico. He had been a resident of the Gail Community for about 20 years. He was a farm hand and a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Rodriguez of Gail; five sons, Jose Rodriguez of Gail, Texas, Santiago Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Rodrigo Rodriguez and Jesus Saul Rodriguez, all of Mexico; seven daughters, Maria Elida Rodriguez of Mexico, Dora Rodriguez of Lamesa, Texas, Lorena Rodriguez, Maria Rosario Rodriguez, Irene Rodriguez, Socorro Rodriguez and Conzuelo Rodriguez, all of Mexico; one sister, Rita Martinez of Petersburg, Texas; 30 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and one son.
