Severo M. Montes, 60, of Big Spring, died Thursday July 24, 2014, at his residence. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Mona Lu Tonn of Spring Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born to Emsrosiana and Porfidio Montes July 19, 1954, in San Miguel, Mexico. He had been in the community for 15 years. He married Guadalupe Aguilar in Big Spring on Aug. 26, 2006. He was a truck driver for Globe and was a member of Spring Tabernacle.
He is survived by his wife Lupe Montes of Big Spring; three sons, Gregory Aguilar and wife Krystle of Big Spring, Salvador Aguilar and wife Clara of Big Spring and Adan Trujillo and wife Silvia Tambien of Mexico; two daughters, Mary Graica and Rose Parnell, both of Big Spring; one sister, Marina Montes of Mexico; one brother, Jose Lourdes of Mexico; 15 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Quintana.
Those serving as pallbearers are Gregory Aguilar, Dino Aguilar, Ethan Aguilar, Jordan Aguilar, Justin Meek and Mike Canales. Honorary pallbearer is Frank Garcia.
