Sharon Gonzalez, 64, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Pat Ray, pastor of Prairieview Baptist Church, and Herb McPherson, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Park.

She was born Aug. 28, 1947, to Pat and Russell Wetmore in Glendale, Calif. She married Juan Gonzalez on Feb. 14, 1979, in Big Spring, Texas. She has been a resident of Howard County for 34 years. She was a member of Prairieview Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Gonzalez of Big Spring; her mother, Pat Schilling of Pismo Beach, Calif.; one sister, Diana Mays and husband Stephen of Carson City, Nev.; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.
