Sharon Kay Meads

Sharon Kay Meads, 59, of Big Spring, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in a local hospital. Memorial services were held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Alan Wallace officiating.
She was born June 17, 1955, in Midwest City, Okla. She graduated from Big Spring High School and married Tommy Brumley in 1973 and they had two children together. On April 12, 2001, Sharon married John Meads in Big Spring. He preceded her in death Aug. 2, 2006.
Sharon was an office assistant at Hester's Mechanical before she became ill.
She is survived by two daughters, Stacey Coker of Big Spring and Laurie Burton and husband Tim of Victoria; seven grandchildren, Anastasia, Kaylee, Jeremiah and Courtney Coker, Derek Nix, Austin Riddle and Shelby Burton; one brother, Robert Underwood and wife Linda of Claremore, Okla.; two nieces, Brooke Tandy and Brittney Underwood; and one nephew, Alex Underwood.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by parents, J.B. and Elsie Underwood; her brother, William “Bill” Underwood; and son-in-law, Randy Nix.
The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of choice.
