Shirleen Knox

Shirleen Knox, 58, of Big Spring died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Spring Creek Fellowship.
She was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Midland, Texas, to Frances and Hal Davis. She married Burl Knox on Dec. 17, 1987, in Big Spring. She has been a lifetime resident of Midland and Howard counties.
She received an associate’s degree in accounting and attended Howard and Midland College. She worked for the Midland tax office and had worked at Wal-Mart of Big Spring. She also worked for Parker Industries of Big Spring until the company relocated out of state. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Burl Knox of Big Spring; two sons, Chris Roberts and wife Lesa of Big Spring and Burl Knox II and wife Kourtnee of Big Spring; one step-daughter, Julie Cantrell of Killeen; one sister, Pam Crawford of Midland; two brothers, Ricky Davis and wife Ann of Graham and Mike Fitzgerald of Midland; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
The family expresses extreme gratitude to Shirleen’s niece, “Sissy” Vickie Mitchell; The ALS Foundation all the staff at the ALS Clinic in Round Rock, Texas; all the staff at Crossroads Hospice; and all the home health and medical professionals that took care of Shirleen. We pray that God would shower His blessings on these angels who cared for our angel on her journey home.
