Shirley M. Davis, 76, of Big Spring died Monday, April 30, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Walter McCall officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Inola, Okla., and married Bill R. Davis on March 21, 1969, in Big Spring.

Shirley moved to Big Spring in 1950 and had worked for Texas Utilities for 36 years.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Davis of Big Spring; one daughter, Janet Somers and husband Frank of Big Spring; two step-daughters, Reba Williams and Robin Flowers and husband Larry all of Wichita Falls; two brothers, James West of Comanche and George West of Coahoma; one sister, Patricia Hodges of Midland; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Lydia (Shimp) West; one son-in-law, Don R. Criswell; one grandson; and two sisters, Bernice Coats and Ester Davis.
