Sibyl Gilmore, 94, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Eddy Pitchford and Rick Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born Sept. 28, 1918, in Callahan County, Texas and married Joe Clayton Gilmore Dec. 7, 1935, in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death March 16, 1986.

Sibyl was a long-ime resident of Big Spring. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. She was a faithful member of 14th and Main Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Nelda Joe Burnett of Sand Springs; one brother, Charles Lewis of Lubbock; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marga Lee Cleavenger and Sylvia Iris Prescott; and a granddaughter, Tatia Colvin.
