Singers earn all-state honors

Some Howard College choir members will get the chance to sing on a much bigger stage.

Five Howard College choral students have won all-state recognition and one has gained national honors.

Kevin Porras, Damian Perez, Nadia Garcia and Amber Bernal of Big Spring and Brantley Cahoon of Forsan were recently named to the Texas Two-Year College Choral Directors' All-State Honor Choir, HC Music Director Eddie Vandewalker announced.

In addition to all-state honors, Porras was selected to the American Choral Directors Association's National Men's Honor Choir, Vandewalker said.
