Slaton throttles Coahoma boys, girls

February 3, 2011

File Photo — Hunter Williams and the Coahoma Bulldogs lost to Slaton 68-51 Wednesday.

COAHOMA — The third quarter was like hemlock to the Coahoma Bulldogs and Bulldogettes Wednesday.

Both squads had encouraging efforts in the first halves of their respective games against Slaton Wednesday, but once the second half started, all the good vibes vanished as if through a hole in the roof of the Coahoma Elementary Gym.

The end result was a 68-51 win for Slaton in the boys’ game and a 63-33 decision in the girls’ game.
