Snakes alive — now they're hunting varmints

March 16, 2011

It's time for snakes ... and other varmints.

This year, the 47th Annual Rattlesnake Roundup has an addition to the festivities — the Ambucs Area Wide Varmint and Hog Hunt. For those wanting to take part in the Varmint and hog hunt, teams are limited to four members and the registration fee is $125 per team and category. There will be winners, determined by number of animals and weight, in both categories. T

he roundup will kick off Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m., with snake shows, demonstrations and races. There will also be an arts and craft show. Admission to the arts and craft show is free and admission to the Roundup is $5 for adults and $3 for children, ages 4-11.
