Sofia 'Pia' Calderon

Sofia “Pia” Calderon, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
She was born March 26, 1929, to Petra and Feliciano Gonzales, Sr. in Big Spring. She married Rosalio Calderon in 1965 in Big Spring. She was a longtime resident of Big Spring. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. 
She is survived by her brother: Feliciano Gonzales, Jr. and his wife Rosalinda; three sisters: Clara Renteria and her husband Jose, Lupe Gonzales and her husband Manuel, and Rachel Gonzales, all of Big Spring; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Dora Renteria, Mary Helen Moreno, and Juana Olivas.
