Stephen Kyle Sledge

Stephen Kyle Sledge passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014. Stephen was born in Big Spring, Texas on Dec. 30, 1957. He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Hawaii, where he met his wife, Sarah. They moved to Anchorage Alaska, where they had two children, Ryan and Kyle. In 1985, the family moved to their current residence in California.

Stephen was an avid reader of military and U.S. history. His other hobbies included fishing, golfing, spending time with his grandson and spending time with his family. He was active in his church, Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, and was a very giving man. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather. Stephen will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Sarah; two sons, Kyle (Kirsty) and Ryan; a grandchild, Isaiah; mother, Jean; brother, Bill (Vickie); sister Terri; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held Monday June 16, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, Calif. 92404. A mass of Christian burial was held at 10:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary, N. Arrowhead, San Bernardino, with a committal service at Riverside National Cemetery following.
