Storms take their toll

May 28, 2014

Lupe Brito and her family spent her Monday night riding out the raging storm in the closet of their house in the 3900 block of East Highway 350.

Lupe describes seeing what sounds like a tornado funnel forming in the large open field across from her home and the wind sounding as a deep, pulsating roar. Rain and hail hit the windows as the family huddled in the closet, Lupe said.
