Students gear for contests

A number of Howard County public school students will be exercising their brains this weekend when they compete at various University Interscholastic League Regional academic meets.

Students earned their shot at the competition after qualifying at district meets held last month.

Big Spring High School will send 10 representatives. Competition is held at the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock on Friday and Saturday.
