Surf's up: Symphony to present Beach Boys' music

April 29, 2011

The surf will be up Saturday night at Dorothy Garrett Coliseum as the Big Spring Symphony, together with Jeans 'n Classics of Toronto, Canada, presents the music of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys.

"It should be a really good, clean, family kind of upbeat show,” said Dr. Keith Graumann, symphony conductor and director. “We'll have tables on the floor for anyone who would like table seating.”

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. with such favorites as “California Girls” and “In My Room.” Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. They are available at Big Spring Herald, KBST Radio, Western Bank, Faye’s Flowers, Blum’s Jewelers, the Heritage Museum, the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce and at the door Saturday.

For more information, you may subscribe to the Big Spring Herald or purchase an e-edition.
