Suzanne Jordan Cranford, 67, of Big Spring died Thursday, March 28, 2013, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Lindsey pastor, and Dr. Michael Dean, pastor of Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa and married Reg Cranford May 29, 1971, in Wichita Falls.

Suzanne graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1963 and attended Midwestern University. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in many capacities. She was very active in the choir, led singing in the Chapel Class, was involved in the Nursing Home ministry and had served as church secretary for more than 30 years. She sang with the Big Spring Symphony Chorale and loved sharing her God-given talent of singing.

Suzanne enjoyed working in her flower garden and especially loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Reg Cranford of Big Spring; two daughters, Jennifer McDermott and husband, Michael of Lubbock and Sarah Hawkins and husband, Brandon of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Kristina Antu, Brenna Antu, Randy Antu, Cora Hawkins, Evie Jo Hawkins and Truett Hawkins; one sister, Mary Jane Bray and husband, Don of Austin; and her mother-in-law, Doris Cranford of Fort Worth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Aaron Jordan and Flora Reichert Jordan.

The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry or Library, 705 W. FM 700, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
