Tashanna Forman, 40, of Big Spring died Saturday, Aug.17, 2013. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jerome McNally and Pastor Holston Banks officiating.
She was born March 4, 1973, to Bertie and Clarence Forman in Big Spring. Except for a few years in Oklahoma, she was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She attended Howard College and Murray State University in Oklahoma. Tashanna was employed by West Texas Dialysis and helped to save lives. She had worked 13 years as a patient care technician. She was a member of New Life Church where she served as youth director and was also a great mom to her children.
She is survived by one son, Xavian Young of Big Spring; two daughters, Arelle Young and Tashalla Young, both of Big Spring and one step-daughter, Mia Daniels of Midland; her mother, Bertie Hawkins and husband Freddie of Big Spring; her father; Clarence Forman of Big Spring; one sister, Marlo Bailey and husband Douglas E. Bailey Jr. of Big Spring; three brothers, Colbie Ford of Big Spring, Chauncey Ford and wife Deana of Big Spring and Joey Harris of Dallas; her grandmother, Elmira Forman of Big Spring; three grandchildren, Zay'D Allen Young of Big Spring, William Whitefield III of Big Spring and Xavian Felix Young II (due in November) of Big Spring. In addition to her family she is survived by four best friends, LaKeisha Johnson of Big Spring, Lakisha McGregor of Big Spring, Derrick Young of Midland and Sheena Anderson of Big Spring.
