Tell us how your pet is No. 1

January 12, 2011

People love their pets, that's a given. As a matter of fact, we're reasonably certain millions of dollars are spent across the country simply on people's pets.

And now the we're interested in hearing why our online readers think their pets are tops.

If you haven't noticed, the Herald's online edition has made a number of changes in recent months, and one of them is the Pet Pal page.

To find the Pet Pal page, go to www.bigspringherald.com and either use the entertainment button at the top of the page or scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Pet Pal button under Entertainment.

There you'll find a number of photos of pets that readers have entered on the page and at the very bottom (once again, you'll need to scroll down the page), there's a button entitled "Tails in Town" that asks our readers to share with us why your pet is No. 1 and encourages them to "spread the word!"

Once you click on that button, all you'll have to do is login and the site will direct you to give us your pet's name and tell us its story in 90 words or less.

Once the story is submitted, our editor will edit the submission and approve it for publishing. All entries will be approved.

The story will then be published on the site below the "Tails in Town" module. The module is already up and running on www.bigspringherald.com, so check it out.

We're waiting to hear from you.
