Thomas 'Tommy' Hembree, 54, of Big Spring, died Monday April 7, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Derrick Looney, Spring Creek Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darin, Ill.

He was born Sept. 5, 1959, in Chicago. He had been a resident of Big Spring for the past 10 years. Most of his life was spent in Illinois. He worked as a machinist.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Gloria and husband Frank Chapman of Big Spring; two brothers, Jim Hembree of Las Vegas and Daniel Hembree of Big Spring; three sisters, Pam Hembree of Big Spring, Janice Kiegel of Illinois and Melanie Karavates of Big Spring; along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Jim Hembree; and one brother, Richard Hembree. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Please pay your respects online at www.myersandsmith.com
