Thomason files for state representative

Big Spring resident Shannon Thomason has filed for a place on the ballot in the March 4 Republcan Primary to represent the people of the 72nd District in the Texas House of Representatives.
Thomason, a corporate pilot for an oilfield manufacturing company, has a long history of grassroots activisim in Big Spring and Howard County.
“I am pleased to throw my hat in the ring to represent the fine folks of District 72. I look forward to the opportunity of bringing conservative Tea Party and West Texas ideals of smaller government, lower taxes and responsible spending to the Capitol and working with other like-minded legislatores in building a better Texas for all Texans,” said Thomason, who filed for the office Friday.
