Ticket deadline nears for Chamber banquet

January 27, 2011

Tickets for next week's Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce banquet are still available, but won't be for long, organizers say.

The deadline to purchase tickets for the Feb. 3 banquet is 5 p.m. Friday.

The event — which will be held at Dorothy Garrett Coliseum — features motivational speaker Kurt Kiser, naming of the Man and Woman of the Year, an auction and a meal. Tickets are $25 each and are available at the Chamber of Commerce office, located at 215 W. Third St. The theme for this year's banquet is People are the “Bling” of Big Spring.

Other activities will include jazz music performed by Anna O'Brien, Big Spring High School choir director, who will be accompanied on piano by Eddie Vandewalker, music director at Howard College.
