Tigers swamp Steers

The old saying goes that sometimes, you have to bow to the obvious — and it was obvious Tuesday night that the Snyder Tigers are a very good baseball team.

The Tigers dominated all phases of their district opener vs. Big Spring, running away with an 11-0 run rule victory over the Steers in Steer Park Tuesday evening.

After a scoreless first inning, Snyder plated three runs in the succeeding three innings, then scored two more runs in the top of the fifth. That was more than enough offensive support for Snyder starter Anthony Taylor, who blanked the Steers while allowing only one hit.
