Triathlon set Saturday at Comanche Trail Park

September 2, 2014

There is still time to register for the seventh annual Comanche Warrior Triathlon, set for Saturday at Comanche Trail Lake.

The event, which will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, consists of a 500-meter swim, an 18-mile bicycle ride and a 3-mile run, event organizer Hayley Lewis said.

Would-be participants have two ways to register — they can sign up online (at permianbasinevents.com) until Friday or in person from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday at Dora Roberts Community Center. Advance registration is $60 per individual and $100 per three-person team; on Saturday, registration costs are $70 for individuals and $130 for teams.
