Tubbs signs with University of Houston

HERALD Photo/Adam Coleman — Surrounded by coaches, friends and teammates, Howard College’s Tasha Tubbs signs her national letter of intent to the University of Houston Thursday.

Howard College's Tasha Tubbs will make Houston her home next basketball season. She signed her national letter of intent Thursday.

Howard College head coach Earl Diddle on Tubbs: "We really excited. I think the University of Houston is getting a real complete player. She's worked very hard from her days at Amarillo Palo Duro High School. She's done something that junior college players have to do and that's improve. She's improved her defense, her rebounding, she's improved her passing. She's a great shooter.
"It's good for our program, good for the college, good for her that she has a chance to move on."
