Two more arrested in drug sweep

December 16, 2011

Investigators with the Big Spring Police Department Narcotics Division made two more arrests Thursday afternoon, bringing this week's total to 19 collars since local, state and federal law enforcement agencies began rounding up alleged traffickers earlier this week.

Dijuan Ausbie, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Also arrested was Tina Ausbie, 24, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

According to Sgt. Tony Everett, public information officer with the BSPD, the pair were arrested at a home in the 1100 block of Pickens.

“The arrests were made by agents with the Big Spring Police Department Narcotics Division, BSPD Criminal Investigations Division, deputies with the Howard County Sheriff's Office and agents with Homeland and Security conducting an investigation into drug violations,” Everett said. “They also seized narcotics and cash from the residence.”

Everett said crack cocaine, marijuana and approximately $5,800 in cash were seized.
