Another wave comes in.

New officers and members were installed for the 2012 year of the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County during the organization’s annual meeting Tuesday.

Agencies and board members gathered at Dora Roberts Community Center for a recap of last year’s success and to share what’s in store for the coming year.

Wayland Pierce, outgoing board president of United Way, handed the reins to Debbie Wegman after installing two new board members, Amanda Moreno and Linda Adams, and the new officers for 2012. Wegman will be taking over as president, Ann McClarty will be first vice president and Larry Rodgers will serve as second vice president. Donna Wright will remain as secretary and Lisa Barber will remain as treasurer.
