United Way getting new director

July 15, 2011

United Way of Big Spring and Howard County is saying goodbye to Jeanie Coor, executive director for the past two years, and welcoming Sandy Stewart as the its new director.

“The United Way is a great organization and I regret having to leave, but I know it is being turned over to good hands,” said Coor.

The transition comes due to a family move for Coor, but she will continue to help Stewart throughout the Boots and Bling 2012 campaign kickoff. No final date has been set for Coor yet, but Stewart is already taking on tasks.

“I am lucky to have this great opportunity to step in and work for such a great organization,” Stewart said.
