Victor R. Yanez III

Victor R. Yanez III, 52, of Big Spring, died Monday May 19, 2014 at his residence. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born July 14, 1961 to Rosalinda and Victor R. Yanez, Jr. in Big Spring and was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver for Fiber Flex before retiring due to ill health.

He is survived by four daughters, April Yanez of San Antonio, Cassandra Yanez of San Antonio, Brittany Yanez of Midland and Kimberly Juarez of Stanton; three sons, Victor R. Yanez IV, Pete Yanez of Stanton and Christopher Mendoza of Big Spring; his mother, Rosalinda Yanez of Big Spring; two brothers, Rosendo Yanez and Rocky Yanez, both of Big Spring; seven sisters, Cathy De Los Santos of Ballinger, Teresa Payne, Ann Ramirez and Janell Martinez, all of Big Spring, Cassie Yanez of Corpus Christi, Gina Yanez of Big Spring and Tina Yanez of Houston; and 21 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Andy Rodriguez, Abel Garcia, Henry Viera, Fred Escovedo, Pat Rodriguez and Joe De Los Santos.
