Police, Sheriff, Fire/EMS reports
Tuesday, 01 April 2008

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:

• JASON BOLT, 22, of 1900 Martin Luther King Blvd., was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana - two ounces or less.
• STEWART SHADE, 18, of 1108 E. 13th Street, was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana - two ounces or less.
• ADAM CHAPPELL, 22, of 1808 Settles, was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana - two ounces or less.
• DAVID ARMENDARIZ, 37, of 808 Magnolia, was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
• ROY JOHNSON, 65, of 707 Wyoming, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• SANDRA SHAEFFER, 24, of 1408 Nolan, was arrested Monday on charges of driving while license invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• CLAUDIA MARTINEZ, 19, of 1503 E. Cherokee, was arrested Monday on a charge of hindering the discharge of an officer’s duties.
• ELIAS LEDESMA, 22, of 1503 E. Cherokee, was arrested Monday on three local capias warrants and a charge of resisting arrest.
• THEFT was reported in the 2000 block of Gregg Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 40 inmates at the time of this report.
• ARTHUR SEISHER KARWEDSKY, 39, was arrested Monday by DPS on a charge of driving while intoxicated - second offense.
• RONNIE TREVINO MARTINEZ, 34, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of non-payment of child support.
• MARTIN ALVARADO, 26, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a parole violation.
• JASON PAUL BOLT, 22, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana - two ounces or less.
• STEWART RYAN SHADE, 18, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana - two ounces or less.
• ADAM WESLEY CHAPPELL, 22, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana - two ounces or less.
• ASHLEY WARD, 26, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a local bench warrant.
• RAUL MEJIA MEJIA, 45, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of bondsman off bond for possession of a controlled substance.
• JOSE LIONEL CERDA, 39, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of bail jumping and failure to appear.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1400 block of N. Highway 87. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of Moore Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3200 block of Parkway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1100 block of 13th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of Lancaster. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of Boykin. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported near the intersection of 25th Street and Baylor. One person was transported to SMMC.
• GRASS AND STRUCTURE FIRES reported in the Highland and Kentwood areas.

... this city because it reminds my family and I  about our hometown back on the island of Kailua - Kona Hawaii. Well we love the people they are so welcoming and we tell our family about it and they say we are lucky to have picked a wonderful place to move to and I say "yes we are " my children love their school and their teachers i'm so glad that we moved here to give our children a better opportunity in life..
