“The call came in at approximately 3:45 a.m.,” said Chamness. “A driver for Dependable Cab was dispatched to the 1100 block of 10th Street to make a pickup, but the call was bogus.
“While the driver was driving around looking for the address, he stopped at a stop sign. That’s when a pair of Hispanic males jumped into the car and put a knife to his throat. They asked for the money and the driver complied, and the two suspects exited the vehicle.”
Chamness said the two suspects were described as between the ages of 15 and 19 years, both with dark hair. One suspect is believed to have been wearing a dark navy shirt with white stripes and matching shorts, and is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall.
The second suspect is believed to be approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a white shirt at the time of the crime. His physical build is unknown, said Chamness.
Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at 263-TIPS (8477).
“Anyone calling can remain anonymous,” said Chamness.
And while no one was injured in the aggravated robbery early Sunday, one Big Spring woman wasn’t quite as lucky earlier in the evening, as the BSPD is also investigating an aggravated assault reported in the 1500 block of Sycamore Saturday.

Jimenez
Sara Jimenez, 17, of Midland, was arrested at 1507 Sycamore and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police officials say an altercation with another female turned violent.
“There were two females at the residence just after 10 p.m. Saturday,” said Chamness. “They got into a pushing and shoving match, at which time Jimenez pulled out a small pocket knife. She stabbed the other female several times in the arm and in the torso. None of the knife wounds were serious or life threatening.”
