Rodriguez and Byrd to marry

Dana Kohl Rodriguez and Darren David Byrd, both of Big Spring, are pleased to announce their engagement and pending marriage.

Rodriguez-Byrd 

Dana is the daughter of the Rev. Carroll and Leighrene Kohl of Big Spring.

She is a graduate of Sul Ross State University and Midwestern State University and received her bachelor of science degree in industrial technology and her master's degree in educational leadership.

She is employed by the Big Spring Independent School District as principal of Kentwood Elementary.

Darren is the son of Richard and Bettye Davis of Odessa.

He is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University, where he received his bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He is employed by Alon USA at the Big Spring Refinery where he is a senior site system specialist.

They plan to exchange vows at 3 p.m. May 24 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 810 Scurry St., in Big Spring, with an outdoor dinner and reception to follow at the home of the groom.
