Herald Staff Report
Dr. Keith Graumann, conductor of the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, has announced rehearsal times for the Symphony Chorus in preparation for Pops in the Park 2008.
“We have another wonderful patriotic program planned again this year. The chorus always plays a huge part in the program, particularly the patriotic ceremony,” Graumann said. Rehearsals will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, June 10, 17 and 24 and July 1. They will be held in the choral rehearsal room at First United Methodist Church at 400 Scurry. Enter from the west side. New members are very welcome to participate, Graumann said. “This is a very good time for those who have wanted to participate but could not commit the time required during the regular concert season. We have only four rehearsals, so we work hard to prepare the music. But, we have a lot of fun as well,” he said. “We are pleased that Linda Lindell will accompany our rehearsals again this year.” Pops in the Park, Big Spring's annual symphony and fireworks show, will be held July 3 in Comanche Trail Park.
