The exhibit will be up through July 29.
Admission is free, and hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The exhibit will consist of 12 displays of pictures and text of oral histories of Latinos and Latinas of Texas and will be out in the hanger around the planes.
The exhibit is sponsored by Humanities Texas, the nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Meghan Bias, museum administrator, said she's excited the exhibit is coming to Big Spring. She selected this specific exhibit to “open doors to bigger audiences. It seems like the same people always come in. I feel like what the veterans did for us didn't have color boundaries.
“We're telling everyone's story. It's an all encompassing thing,” she added.
