The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:

• RONALD PATRICK JACKSON, 35, of 1301 Lincoln Street was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license invalid.

• KRISTOPHER BRITO GARCIA, 20, of 612 Linda Lane, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – over 5 pounds but under 50 pounds.

• JOSE MARTINEZ, 21, of 805 E. 15th Street, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – under two ounces.

• GABRIAL LEE MARTINEZ, 19, of Colorado City, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – under two ounces.

• ADRIAN LEE HILARIO, 21, of 1410 Nolan Street, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – under two ounces, and one warrant.

• LUZ MARTINEZ JUAREZ, 43, of 602 NW Seventh Street, was arrested Wednesday on four local warrants and two capias warrants.

• MANUEL ROMERO LOZANO III, 35, of 2504 Chanute Drive, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license invalid.

• EDWARDO GONZALES, 24, of Coahoma, was arrested Thursday on a warrant and a capias warrant.

• RENE GARCIA, 34, of 609 McEwen Street, was arrested Thursday on a citation.

• ANGELA DENISE MCMULLEN, 34, of 405 E. Tenth Street, was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving while intoxicated (open container) - 2nd offense.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office reported the following activity:

Note – Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 54 inmates at the time of this report.

• NATHAN ROBINSON, 33, was transferred by the BSPD to the County Jail Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

• ROY PAIZ GARCIA, 48, was arrested by the HCSO Wednesday on charges of speeding – 84 mph/70 mph, driver not secured, and violating a promise to appear for speeding – 83 mph/65 mph.

• FRANK LEE JACKSON, 49, was transferred by the BSPD to the County Jail Wednesday on a charge of criminal tresspassing.

• CHARLES ORLANDO BETANCOURT, 22, was arrested by the DPS Wednesday on a Jefferson County warrant for theft by check.

• ROBERT L. LOFTIS, 48, was arrested by the HCSO Wednesday on a motion to revoke probation for criminal nonsupport.


The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:

• MEDICAL was reported in the 2600 block of Chanute. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of Highway 350. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of S. Birdwell. One person was transported to SMMC.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1100 block of N. Birdwell. Service was refused.

• MEDICAL was reported in the 1000 block of FM 2230. One person was transported to SMMC.

• STRUCTURE FIRE was reported in the 500 block of N. Johnson.
