Two-vehicle accident

Emergency responders look over this wrecked Mazda following a two-vehicle accident on Interstate Highway 20 between Big Spring and Coahoma early Friday morning. According to officials at the scene, two adults and a child were traveling westbound in the car when a black Chevrolet pickup moved over into the lane they were in. The driver of the Mazda, which is registered in California, swerved to miss hitting the truck, went off the roadway and flipped the car. No major injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Police, Sheriff, Fire/EMS reports

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• MARIE BROWN, 30, of 1209 Runnels, was arrested Monday on a Galveston County warrant.
• JAMES JENNINGS, 54, of 300 Sixth Street, was arrested Monday on a charge of public intoxication.
• MARK MCBETH, 22, of 8200 Service Road, was arrested Tuesday on charges of failure tgo display driver's license and burglary of a building.
• MONTE ANDERSON, 33, of 905 E. 16th Street, was arrested Tuesday on a Howard County warrant.
• ROBERT SANCHEZ, 44, of 423 Westover Road, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• THEFT was reported:
in the 200 block of Marcy.
in the 100 block of 10th Street.
in the 400 block of Fourth Street.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 1900 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 66 inmates at the time of this report.
• MORGAN LOPEZ, 26, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of bail jumping – failure to appear and failure to identify – giving false information.
• DANIELLE MARIE RAWLS, 26, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (two counts) and failure to identify – giving false information.
• ASHLEY WARD, 26, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a motion to revoke probation for possession of a controlled substance.
• RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON, 41, was booked into the county jail on a charge of cooperative agreement with state on fuel tax.
• COREY RAY RAMSDELL, 33, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence of 60 days for driving while intoxicated – second offense.
• CORY STEVEN SWICK, 20, was arrested Monday by DPS on charges of driving while license invalid, false drug test – falsification device and possession of a dangerous drug.
• DANIEL RIOS, 22, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of unlawful transfer of a handgun to someone under 18 years of age.
• DAVID CHRISTOPHER PETREE, 23, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the intersection of FM 700 and 11th Place. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 900 block of Nolan. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1200 block of Driver Road. Service refused.
