Police, Sheriff, Fire/EMS reports

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• RAUL MENDEZ, 29, of 1900 Martin Luther King Blvd., was arrested Wednesday on a Rankin County warrant and a charge of possession of marijuana.
• JOHNNY RODRIGUEZ, 18, of 1601 Avion, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana.
• JOHNATHON BUSTAMANTE, 19, of 1604 Owen, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana in a drug free zone and possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
• ARMANDO SALCIDO, 28, of 605 Holbert, was arrested Wednesday on four local warrants.
• MELTION VIERA, 44, of 1604 S. Main Street, was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving while license invalid – enhanced.
• THEFT was reported:
in the 100 block of Eighth Street.
in the 900 block of Willia.
• EVADING ARREST/DETENTION was reported in the 300 block of Tulane.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
in the 100 block of Algerita.
in the 1500 block of 17th Street.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported:
in the 100 block of Eighth Street.
in the 2500 block of Morrison.
• ASSAULT CLASS C/FAMILY VIOLENCE was reported in the 500 block of Westover Road.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 66 inmates at the time of this report.
• MARIE MELVINA BROWN, 30, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a Galveston warrant for probation violation.
• DENNIS JAMES PAGE, 25, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• SANDY SHEIKH, 26, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for possessiojn of marijuana – two ounces or less and a revocation of probation sentence for theft.
• SABRINA FAYE RIVERA, 26, was arrested Wednesday on a pair of judgment/sentences (charge not provided).
• RANDALL WADE MILLER, 42, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on motions for enforcement for criminal non-support of a child (two counts).
• MONTY RAVON ANDERSON, 33, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a motion to revoke probation for deadly conduct with a firearm.
• JEFFREY RAY PIERSON, 18, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a charge of intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1500 block of State Park Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported near the intersection of Highway 87 and FM 821. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of W. 17th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of Lancaster. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3900 block of Hamilton. Service refused.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 5300 block of Longshore.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Mt. Vernon. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1500 block of Nolan. Service refused.
