A shooting Saturday night sent a pair of Big Spring brothers to the emergency room, as police officials investigate the conflict that led up to the attack.
Noe Sanchez, 18, and Orlando Sanchez, 24, were hospitalized after officers were called to the 1400 block of Virginia at approximately 8:38 p.m., according to officials with the Big Spring police Department.
“Patrol was dispatched to the 1400 block of Virginia in reference to a shooting,” said Sgt. Tony Everett, public information officer with the BSPD. “On arrival officers found two subjects had been wounded by gunfire and the suspects had fled the scene.
“At this point in the investigation it appears the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud between two individuals and does not appear to be gang related.”
Everett confirmed the victims are brothers, both suffering single gunshot wounds to the leg.
Both were treated at the emergency room at Scenic Mountain Medical Center, according to police records.
“Detectives have several witnesses that are being interviewed at this time,” said Everett.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
