The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• EDWARD SPIVEY, age not provided, of 1101 Jeffery, was arrested Monday on four local warrants.
• BRENDA MENDEZ, 26, of 1300 Madison, was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief.
• UNLAWFULLY CARRYING A WEAPON was reported in the 2800 block of 13th Street.
• STEALING/RECEIVING STOLEN CHECKS was reported in the 1300 block of Madison.
• THEFT was reported:
in the 300 block of Owens.
in the 900 block of Willia.
• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – TWO OUNCES OR LESS was reported in the 2800 block of 13th Street.
• EVADING ARREST/DETENTION WITH A VEHICLE was reported in the 2900 block of 13th Street.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
in the 2000 block of Merrily.
in the 500 block of Birdwell Lane.
in the 2400 block of Gregg Street.
in the 2700 block of Rebecca.
• ASSAULT CLASS C/FAMILY VIOLENCE was reported:
in the 2900 block of Highway 80.
in the 3200 block of Avenue C.
• ASSAULT BY CONTACT was reported in the 100 block of 16th Street.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 64 inmates at the time of this report.
• ROGER DEAN FOULKS, 45, was arrested Monday by DPS on charges of driving while intoxicated – open container.
• EDGAR ORTIZ, 19, was arrested Monday by DPS on charges of theft, failure to identify as a fugitive from justice – giving false information and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
• ARGIMIRO GOMEZ AGUILLAR, 21, was arrested Monday by DPS on a charge of theft.
• JUSTIN RAMIREZ, 21, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of unlawfully carrying weapon and evading arrest/detention using a vehicle.
• SIMON JACOB ARENIVAS, 17, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of evading arrest/detention using a vehicle.
• MIGUEL ANTONIO ARENIVAZ, 19, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of evading arrest/detention using a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
• EUGENE MORENO ZAPATA, 32, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on charges of bail jumping – failure to appear and a motion to revoke probation for theft.
• ADAM MICHAEL NATIVIDAD, 30, was arrested Monday by DPS on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• JOHN ANTHONY MIER, 20, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1500 block of W. 11th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 4100 block of Parkway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1400 block of Wood. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 100 block of Hoosier Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported near the 194 mile marker of Interstate Highway 20. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1000 block of South Birdwell Lane. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the area of N. Highway 87. Service refused.
• GRASS FIRE was reported in the 400 block of Armstrong,
