The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:

• THEFT was reported in the 2000 block of Gregg Street.
• POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA was reported in the 400 block of Fourth Street.
• DEADLY CONDUCT was reported in the 1200 block of Wood Street.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
in the 1300 block of Madison.
in the 2300 block of Scurry.
in the 4200 block of Bilger.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1300 block of Runnels.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 59 inmates at the time of this report.
• JOHN ANTHONY MIER, 20, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• ANTONIO MARTINEZ JR., 18, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on charges of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less, a New Mexico warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, prohibited weapon – switchblade/knuckles, burglary of a habitation, burglary of a vehicle, graffiti (two counts) and criminal mischief.
• BRENDA JOSIE MENDEZ, 26, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of criminal mischief.
• RICHARD ARTHUR DEXTER, 67, was arrested Tuesday by DPS on a charge of driving while intoxicated – second offense.
• MICHAEL SHAE JACKMAN, 22, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of theft by check.
The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 4200 block of Wasson. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of N. Moss Lake Road. Service refused.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 200 block of N. Moss Lake Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the intersection of 11th Street and Goliad. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the area of Tubb Loop Road. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1700 block of Lancaster. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1500 block of E. 11th Place. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near Highway 87 and Driver Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of Tulsa. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Michael. Service refused.
