The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• ERIC DEAL, 42, of 5700 Cedar, was arrested Monday on four local citations. • SHALYN WALTON, 20, of 1804 Settles, was arrested Monday on a local capias warrant. • NINA MARQUEZ, 25, of 200 E. 11th Place, was arrested Monday on charges of no driver's license and failure to maintain financial responsibility. • JUSTIN MEEK, 22, of 200 E. 11th Place, was arrested Monday on a charge of interfering with official police duties. • MELISSA PUGA, 40, of 1409 Settles, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. • UNATTENDED DEATH was reported in the 700 block of Interstate Highway 20. • TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE was reported in the 3200 block of 11th Street. The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity: Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 58 inmates at the time of this report. • ROBIN CAROL HICKS, 29, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a charge of theft by check. • LESTER CLAUDE DUFFER, 28, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of burglary of a building. • JOEY EUGENE MATA, 21, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of burglary of a habitation. • HENRY RAMIREZ, 52, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of burglary of a building. • MELVIN WILLIAM BIDDLE, 46, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of theft. • COREY PRESTON HOFFPAUIR, 31, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of burglary of a building. The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity: • MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of Interstate Highway 20. Service refused. • MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of N.E. Ninth Street. Service refused. • MEDICAL was reported in the 600 block of Washington. One person was transported to SMMC. • MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of W. 11th Place. One person was transported to the VAMC. • TRAUMA was reported in the 700 block of Highland. Service refused.
