Smith-Tunnell engaged

Jim and Valerie Smith of Stanton announce the engagement of their daughter Savanah Cheyenne Smith to Joshua Mack Tunnell, son of Brad and Ginger Tunnell of Lenorah.

The couple will marry March 7, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Stanton.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Wayne and Natha Mitchell of Stanton, Charlie and Betty Smith of Stanton, and the late Lou Ann Smith.

She is a senior at Dallas Baptist University, where she is pursuing her degree in education.

The future groom is the grandson of Jo Madison of Lenorah, the late Dick Madison, Glynda Tunnell of Lenorah, and the late Mack Tunnell.

He graduated Suma Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a degree in ag development. He is  employed with Helena Chemical in Stanton and continues to farm with his dad.

Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Lenorah.
